In other to achieve and possess we need to see; we need vision. In the passage above, God told Abraham to look in four different directions and all that He saw would be his and his offspring’s. God didn’t say all that are in those four locations, He said all that Abraham saw. I believe that after Abraham saw, he kept the vision of what he had seen in his heart and that might have been a contributing factor to his belief in God because he never lost the vision.
The year is almost over and some of us started this year with visions and we are still waiting for the manifestation of the visions (And we are aware that the year is running out) I want to encourage us not to lose focus or sight of the vision because as long as we hold on to the vision we have, we’d get into the promised land.
I believe that one of the reasons God sends us to explore the promised land is because He wants to weed out those with unbelief from the faith driven. Seeing is essential because it is to the extent we see that we receive (desire, hope for and request from God). God also uses exploration (vision) to give us a glimpse of possibilities (what He has stored for us) so that we can strive to attain it by His grace.
The promises (ideas, provision, the number of souls that can be won) of God needs exploration and God is saying look in all directions and see what can be yours and desire it then possess it
When we explore, our testimonies also count. In Numbers 13, the spies that Moses sent into the Promised Land came back with fruits, but they also came back with a testimony of defeat and because of that they missed out. Has God showed you something? Have you even eaten some of the fruits? Are you wondering why you are at a standstill or why you are going downhill? What is your testimony? You should change that testimony to that of Caleb’s… if you’ve eaten the fruits then yes you can! If you’ve not eaten the fruits but have seen just like Abraham, then yes you still can.
Believe God! He can… and He wants to…
We need God to open up our eyes to see the possibilities. God is looking for us to challenge Him above the ordinary, because He is extraordinary and we, His children need to be extraordinary as well.
I pray that as we explore, we’d come back with fruits and by His grace be charged up to go and possess all that God has given us. I pray that we’d explore long term as well because it is the larger picture. I ask that our Father will put us in positions where we can see and remove obstacles from our sight paths and grant us the grace and favor to obtain all He has enabled us to see. In Jesus Name, Amen.
